Description

Vagdevi is an illuminating devotional fine art composition celebrating divine wisdom, learning, music, and the sacred arts. Centered on the revered presence of Goddess Saraswati, this vertical framed artwork unites sacred Vedic geometry with traditional iconography and classical Sanskrit poetry.

The upper half of the artwork features an Band-radiant Saraswati Yantra glowing with warm celestial light against an atmospheric midnight teal and indigo starry sky. Below, resting across serene waters blooming with white lotus blossoms, are the sacred emblems of knowledge and creative mastery: a classical wooden tanpura, an open holy manuscript with an inkpot, a graceful peacock feather, and a pristine white swan (Hamsa) gliding across the rippling pool.

Inscribed along the lower foreground in traditional Devanagari script is the immortal opening verse of the Saraswati Vandana:
"या कुन्देन्दुतुषारहारधवला या शुभ्रवस्त्रावृता । सा मां पातु सरस्वती भगवती निःशेषजाड्यापहा ॥"

Enclosed in a clean, natural light-wood frame, Vagdevi radiates meditative serenity, intellectual clarity, and cultural heritage, making it an inspiring centerpiece for pooja sanctuaries, study rooms, libraries, and living spaces.

Frequently asked questions

This artwork depicts a luminous glowing Sri Yantra rising above an earthen bowl containing an amla (gooseberry), accompanied by the authentic Sanskrit opening verse of Adi Shankaracharya's Kanakadhara Stotram in Devanagari script.
It commemorates the historic miracle where Adi Shankaracharya was touched by an impoverished woman offering her last possession—a single amla. He composed the Kanakadhara hymn to Goddess Lakshmi, who answered his prayer by showering golden amlas upon the humble hut.
It is ideally placed in a pooja room, meditation sanctuary, wealth corner (North/North-East), or home office/business lobby to cultivate positive energy, meditative focus, and financial abundance.
